OPP Notice

“North Bay OPP would like to issue a reminder for parents, that under the MSVA, no one under the age of 16 is allowed to drive on or across a highway, even if they hold a Motorized Snow Vehicle Operator’s Licence, said Camirand.

A “highway” includes a common and public highway, street, avenue, parkway, driveway, square, place, bridge, viaduct or trestle, any part of which is intended for or used by the general public for the passage of vehicles. This means that if the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trail is on a town road, the youth is forbidden to drive on it.”
